CS Meal Plans™

CBORD’s CS Meal Plans is an application module of the CS Gold® campus ID card system. This flexible, highly configurable application effectively manages the use of meal plans in a food service environment. CS Meal Plans uses a familiar Windows-based graphical user interface and a shared database, eliminating the need for redundant data entry. This fully integrated module of CS Gold ID card software uses password-protected access levels for distributed system administration.

• Plan entry wizard: Never before has setting up meal plans been so easy! Simply start the wizard and answer step-by-step questions to create a plan. Each set of questions is determined according to answers the user provides. No more worrying about missing a critical step or confusing plans!
• Configurable meal plans: System administrators may create an unlimited number of meal plans, any number of which may be assigned to a patron. Meal periods per day and meals per period may vary by plan. Meal periods may be varied per location and/or meal plan. A graphical representation of schedules helps to simplify the process.
• Automated accounting: CS Meal Plans can perform accounting for each meal plan. The system keeps track of meals sold, meals yet to be sold, and dollar-value equivalencies for each meal. Equivalencies are calculated per location, per meal plan, per meal period, and per day. The system also automatically prorates the value of remaining meals for patrons who purchase a plan after the start date and charges accordingly.
• Point-of-sale convenience: Patrons may purchase meals by presenting their cards at workstations or registers, and individual meals may be purchased separately.
• Complete reporting capabilities: The power of CS Gold’s Oracle database provides more than 45 standard reports in easy-to-read formats to provide the information you need to effectively manage meal plans. In addition, system administrators may create custom reports using either the integrated Crystal Reports software or any other Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)–compliant reporting tool.
