For Immediate Release
August 24, 2007
Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., the leading provider of campus card and
integrated security solutions to the college and university community, is pleased
to announce the addition of several new features to CS Access™, the company's
leading IP-based access control system. Development was dedicated in light of
recent customer requests for assistance in improving the level of security on their
campuses.
New and enhanced features include campus lockdown and emergency lockdown capabilities; enhanced history tracking for financial and access transactions; sitewide messaging on point-of-sale readers, access readers, vending readers, and account management websites; and housing triggers which allow students access only to doors necessary in order to reach their specific residence hall rooms during campus emergencies.
These features build upon CS Access' existing capabilities that make it a leading door access control solution in the college and university marketplace. These include graphical mapping of locations and alarms, integration with intelligent video surveillance, and powerful connectivity with campus card and housing management software for a true campus-wide solution.
