CBORD® releases handheld terminal for Odyssey PCS™

For Immediate Release

December 28, 2005

Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc. recently released the Troubadour card reader for Odyssey PCS, providing clients with mobility for privilege verification and debit transactions in an offline environment.

Ticketing, roll call, and attendance tracking are moving away from being paper-based on many campuses. The Troubadour streamlines these and other functions, while providing comprehensive reporting capabilities.

Designed to record transactions at outdoor and athletic events, the Troubadour verifies transactions against a "snapshot" of the Odyssey PCS database. Once the event is completed, transactions are uploaded through a user interface. Reporting is available from both the terminal and Odyssey PCS.

"Troubadour is simple to use, and requires very little training and no technical expertise," says David Parson, OneCard Manager at the University of Indianapolis. "It has been very wellreceived on-campus, and has allowed us to expand our use of the Odyssey PCS system with very little effort."
